Warranty
Customer Trading Computers, Inc.

Custom Trading Computers, Inc., a California corporation, also doing business as Accent Technology (sometimes referred to herein as "we/us/our/Company"), warrants that the hardware components of the purchased computer system will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. We are the sole warranty provider as we do not outsource our warranty to third party companies. Our warranty covers parts, labor and shipping as a result of a defective part. We also are the sole provider of technical support for the computer system’s hardware, assembly and setup.

Warranty Term
The warranty and return policy begins on the printed date of the sales receipt we provide to you, which is the date that we receive payment for the computer system. The computer system comes with a 30 Day Guarantee.   We also offer a 1 year, 2 year, or 3 year warranty   for purchase with any computer system.  The 30 Day Guarantee is included in the 1 year, 2 year, and 3 year warranties at no additional cost.

Replacement Parts
All replacement parts require a return merchandise authorization ("RMA") number from us prior to your shipping any defective parts to us.  We will issue the RMA number to you via e-mail once we approve and authorize the return.

If we determine that a part is defective, and you inform us that you, as solely determined by you, are capable of swapping out the part yourself, we will send the replacement part to you for your installation. The replacement part package will include a return shipping label so you can return the defective part to us at no cost to you.    If the defective part is not shipped back to us within 7 days, you will pay the full cost of the replacement part via credit card, which we require prior to shipping out the replacement part to you.   We are not responsible for any damages resulting from your improper installation of the replacement part. It is your responsibility to know how to safely work with the hardware you are replacing, and if you do not have the knowledge or experience, you should not attempt to replace a part on your own.  We are available via the telephone to assist you through installing the replacement part; however, it is your responsibility to know how to safely work with hardware you are handling and we take no responsibility and you agree that we have no liability if you incorrectly install the replacement part.

If you are not capable of   swapping out a replacement part yourself, or you have consulted with us without a definite cause of problem, you may take your computer system or individual component to a local computer shop for repair.   We will reimburse you up to  50%  of the labor cost for the work, up to a maximum of  $50  per incident. We require the original receipt from the computer shop to verify the work that was done prior to mailing you the reimbursement to you.

There will never be any software RMA numbers issued due to the license agreements of each piece of software.   We are not responsible if your misuse or misplace your original software CDs or software key codes.

Shipping Damages
Shipping damages can occur, regardless of how well protected the computer shipping box may be.

If there is major shipping damage to the computer system (the computer will not function), you must notify us within  48  hours. We will contact the shipping carrier for insurance and/or claim purposes. Depending on the severity of the damage and insurance/claim turnaround time, we may, at our discretion, send out a replacement computer system as soon as practical to you and will have you ship the damaged computer system back to us. We will pay for all shipping costs related with cross shipping. If you do not contact us within 48 hours after receiving a damaged computer system, the damaged computer system and contents are your full responsibility.

Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for damages or costs that are the result of your accidents, misuse, or abuse of your computer system. Modifications, overclocking, BIOS or firmware updates, or repairs made to your system by anyone other than us will void this warranty unless it is approved and authorized by our representative.

Due to the nature of the computer system and its components, we will not warranty or replace power supplies. Any replacement or warranty services must be handled via the power supply’s original manufacturer.

Other damages that we are not responsible for include: fire damage; water damage; electrical damage; normal wear and tear; theft or partial theft; dropping or tipping of computer system; smashed, crushed, physical damage, melted or any other acts, whether accidental or intentional to the computer system. Our liability shall never be greater than 50% of the original purchase price (minus software price).

WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR FOR THE LOSS OF PROFIT, REVENUE, DATA, LOSS OF THE USE OF THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND RELATED EQUIPMENT AND HARDWARE, LOSS OF “DOWN-TIME” OR YOUR TIME, OR COMPLICATIONS THAT ARISE AS A RESULT OF THE COMPUTER SYSTEM’S FAILURE OR DELAY IN PRODUCTION OR REPAIR OF THE COMPUTER SYSTEM ARISING OUT OF THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THIS WARRANTY, EVEN IF WE SHALL HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH POTENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE.

Termination of Warranty
The warranty is not transferable to anyone other than the original purchaser and will be terminated if the computer system or component changes ownership.

We hold the right and privilege to terminate the warranty at any time for a pro-rated refund of the remaining value of the warranty. We may terminate the warranty at our sole and absolute discretion if we find that the customer is unable to effectively and professionally work with us. If we terminate the warranty, we will send you a pro-rated refund of the remaining value of the warranty via certified mail.

Mail-In & Trade-In
We have a Mail-In program for you to take advantage of during and possibly after the initial warranty period chosen. This period will be shown on your quote, order and/or invoice. With this program you may mail the computer system to us and we will repair the computer system with at no labor cost to you. The only costs that you be responsible for paying are freight costs to us and from us and any replacement parts or components, if necessary.

Our Trade-In program is designed so that you may trade-in your model unit to upgrade to a newer model in the future (the time-frame allotted will be shown on the order invoice). We give a depreciation scale offer for your computer system. This allows you to keep up on the leading edge technology while regulating costs.

Display Warranty
All displays are warranted directly through and by the monitor or laptop manufacturer.  Please review the original manufacturer's current pixel defect policy for the item in question.  If the defective display is DOA, we will replace that display within 30 days from the date shipped.  After the 30 days, laptop display issues will be handled by Company, and any monitor support, drivers or warranty issues should be directed toward the appropriate original equipment manufacturer.

Technical Support
Technical issues with your computer system are handled via email and phone. The primary recommended method of communication is email or phone.   Email communication allows time to research the best solution for your support issues. We respond to all support request emails during business hours. We may also offer phone technical support on an appointment basis for after hours or weekend support needs.

THE FOREGOING WARRANTIES ARE CONTINGENT UPON THE PROPER USE OF THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND MAY NOT APPLY TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM HARDWARE THAT HAS BEEN REPAIRED OR MODIFIED OTHER THAN AS ALLOWED HEREIN THIS WARRANTY.

THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
