History
The ball started rolling for Custom Trading Computers back in 2004 when Jordan Peterson was attending a trading conference in Atlanta. While mingling with other traders, a few people learned of Jordan's technology background and his expertise in computer hardware. It was a single trader that simply asked Jordan if he would be willing to build him a new computer for trading because his current system would keep locking up during the heavy volume trading periods. Jordan is never one to turn down an opportunity to help out a fellow trader so he built this trader a computer fairly similar to the one he built for his own trading. This trader that met Jordan in Atlanta at a trading conference was so pleased with his new trading computer that he told all of his trading friends. From there the rest is history. This started a chain reaction of traders e-mailing Jordan for his opinion and expertise on many technology related subjects. Word spread very quickly and within the course of a year, Jordan built over 50 computers, off of 100% word of mouth. Jordan never solicited himself once, and that is how he first noticed that there was a need for his knowledge, expertise and honesty in this niche.
Jordan noticed that there simply wasn't a computer company that catered directly to traders and no other markets. He found that there were computer companies that were marketing computers for traders, but were simply a branch of another larger computer company and really didn't know much about the trading process and trading applications. He also noticed that their pricing structure was not fair and that they used the same dishonest techniques that most computer companies deploy to generate more revenue. Thus, Custom Trading Computers, Inc. was born. Today, Custom Trading Computers, Inc. receives more than a dozen inquiries per day from traders who want to have a technological advantage over the competition.
